Beginning with yin yoga students will be guided into stillness and silence holding primarily passive poses for different lengths of time. By doing so, stress (the good kind) is emphasized on the joints and each pose then targets the deep connective tissues (fascia) that may be holding onto trauma, tension, and/or tightness.
Following yin, students will then be prompted to enjoy slower movement, and flow through grounding hatha yoga poses. This is a great class for all levels of yoga practitioners, especially those who have a hard time resting, or experience high levels of stress and/or anxiety.
